Sonia Gandhi has confessed that Congress has faced some set backs but she has promised that the party will re-emerge. Congress president Sonia Gandhi addressed a youth convention in Delhi today. Below are some of the highlights of her speech,
• I appreciate the fact that you said 'maa tujhe salaam' to Indira Gandhi.
• Youth Congress is the first platform through which future leaders are made. We were the first party to make future leaders.
• Indira Gandhi was a mother to millions of Indians. She stills remains as a mother to all of us.
• We have built our party on the legacy of Jawaharlal Nehru. Indira Gandhi was a guide to all of us. She has guided our nation even though she faced lots of challenges.
• I urge the Youth Congress to learn from our elders and their commitment to the nation.
• Lots of Political parties are trying to pull us down. All I can say is this is just a minor set back. We will come back strongly. Congress can never be stopped.
