There have been daily reports of huge corruption in awarding various contracts for constructing the plethora of pending irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh which has been creating furore in official circles and also public.

There have been large scale complaints regarding the unholy nexus between the TDP leaders and contractors involving hundreds of crores of rupees of public money that is being siphoned off reportedly under the guise of executing and fast tracking irrigation projects.
During YSR rule, TDP had been g from rooftops that his pet programmed Jalayagnam is actually Dhanayaganam. But now the situation has now worsened to an extent wherein many senior IAS officers are also coming out in open attacking the AP government expressing.
They fear that being part of the so called 'contract award committees' they are not being given power for deciding contracts since government bosses are only taking unilateral decisions on who should be awarded contract and for how much price. Clearly they say TDP leaders are recovering decade long slowdown phase and election expenses this way!
