It is a known fact that Sabarimalai temple doesn't allow women as they are not pure. The temple board made a controversial movie to 'Check the purity of women'. This caused complete outrage in wole of the nation. Women have went against this and have launched a campaign 'Happy to Bleed'.
This has been trending on Twitter since morning. The campaign took on 'menstrual taboos' and 'sexism' of the board. This campaign went viral at once. But the authorities from the temple said, this machine wills can for menstruating women.
This is just like the one which check weapons. Prayar Gopalakrishnan who is the president of Devastanam board said, "A time will come when people will ask if all women should be disallowed from entering the temple throughout the year. This days we have machines for everything.
So we have one to scan bodies. In future there will be a machine which will scan to check of the woman is 'right' and 'pure'. When that machine is invented, we will see about letting women inside the temple." However this speech has caused more outrage.
