The Warangal elections created huge set back for TDP and BJP. The defeat in Delhi Assembly, Bihar Assembly elections has made the Telangana TDP leaders to rethink their strategy. The TDP leaders are planning to contest in the party alone.
The leaders are planning to do the same in GHMC elections in January 2016. They are planning to cancel the alliance with BJP. Most TDP leaders are seeing BJP as a liability. But in 2014 they are considered as an asset.
Even in past two Lok Sabha bypolls held in Telangana State the TDP-BJP combo failed to make any impact. They even lost the deposit that time. TDP left both Medak Lok Sabha seat and Warangal Lok Sabha seat to BJP. However leaders have advised Naidu not to make any comments on BJP as that may affect the TDP Government.
TDP leaders are speaking with other party members regarding this issue. They are keen not to meet the same fate just like Medak and Warangal. If TDP cancels the alliance, will TRS join hands with BJP ? Let's wait and see.
