In a shocking event, a private hotel in Kelambakkam, Chennai has faced two suicides. The Hotel management itself is shell-shocked due to this mishap. According to sources, the male is 34 years old and he is chemical analyst. He came to hotel along with 25 year old sister-in-law.
Both consumed poison and took their last breath. Police was informed and later they were identified as Advaith Menon and his sister-in-law is Lakshmi Menon. Police also confirmed that both are native of Thrissur, Kerala. Police has found a suicide note and it read that Advaith wanted to end his life since his wife Parvathi passed away due to sickness.
Advaith was running an online consultancy and he has checked into hotel room along with Lakshmi Menon who is working in a private bank. The Hotel staff has knocked the door to ask whether they are extending their stay. But as there was no response, the staff has entered using spare key and found the two lying unconscious.
Police arrived and they were taken to nearby hospital. But doctors confessed that both of them were 'already dead'. Inspector of police Rajangam said, "They have consumed over dosage of sleeping pills."
