People of the country respect Sardar Patel, Iron Man of India as the greatest freedom fighter and Home Minister who united many princely states into Indian dominion.
Many even now believes that had Sardar Patel become India's first PM,there wouldn't have been Kashmir problem and even partition would have never happened.
But in a shocker Dalit activist and author Kancha Ilaiah said "Had Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel become PM, India would have gone on the lines of Pakistan, our democracy would have collapsed"
What is even more shocking is BJP member Sudheendra Kulkarni saidSardar Patel ranks the lowest in the list compared to Nehru and Ambedkar and added "the least contemporary, doesn't contribute tosocial unity, equality or political consensus".
