Rahul Gandhi has addressed the students in University of Hyderabad. He said the Vice Chancellor of the Hyderabad Central University and "the Minister in Delhi" must be held accountable for the suicide of Rohit Vermula.
However one of the student said, "Kindly don't politicize this as Congress Vs BJP. We just seek justice for the death of Rohit Vemula." Rahul Gandhi said, "I am not politicizing the issue. The young lad came to improve the country. He came to express himself.
He put so much pain within himself and when he ran out of options, he committed suicide. But the reason behind this was created by the Vice Chancellor, the minister in Delhi, and the institution." It was obvious that Rahul Gandhi targets Smriti Irani.
Earlier Rohit Vermula who was a Dalit student was forbidden from using the University library, hostel and other facilities. He was just allowed to attend classes. Later he was even expelled from attending the classes. The only reason he was expelled was said to be Ambedkar Student's Association.
