Natasimha Balakrishna who is MLA from Hindupur voted in the recent GHMC elections in Telangana. Now opposition parties are demanding disqualification of Balakrishna.
Former MP,Congress leader Ponnam Prabhakar complained to State election commission seeking disqualification of Balakrishna. He questioned how can Balakrishna MLA from Hindupur cast his vote in GHMC elections in Telangana.
Generally a person can contest elections in a state in which he has right to vote and citing this rule he said Balakrishna flouted rules. He said as per peoples representation act this is not possible and he should be disqualified.
He said Balakrishna clearly violated all election rules and should be disqualified with immediate effect. It should be seen what decision election commission will take regarding this complaint.
