The head of Jana Sena and also Tollywood actor Pawan Kalyan has been now caught in a tight spot regarding his comments on Kapu community. His flexis are now being torn by angry Kapu youth leaders at few places in Guntur district and also certain areas in West Godavari district recently.
Pawan's fans are mainly from Kapu community who have taken umbrage to their hero in a way disowning the key community at a crucial time when the veteran Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham has started a battle to ensure that the CM Chandrababu Naidu keeps his word on granting of BC status to Kapus.
Some of the youth have torn apart the flexis and also resorted to shouting slogans against the Tollywood star and actor. Following the violence during Kapu Garjana at Tuni, the actor immediately rushed to Hyderabad for a press conference wherein he stressed that he doesn’t represent any particular caste or fight for them!
He also reportedly refused to mediate between the government and Kapu leaders and his statements drew flak from most of his fans from the Kapu community who had rallied behind Pawan at his election campaign for 2014 assembly elections.
