Missing, Orphaned and Abandoned kids from neighbouring states such as Karnataka and Maharashtra are ending up in Ranga Reddy as child labourers. Most of the people exploit them by forcing them to beg on the streets.

For past one month, Ranga reddy police has rescued 142 Child labourers in Tandur Mandal alone and surrounding areas. Police said, among the rescued kids, there were three orphaned girls (siblings) and they were abused by their own parents and relatives.

A boy who was abandoned by his own mother was bought by a tribal family for a sum of Rs.250. In most cases of Child labour, Child begging or Trafficking, kids are seen abandoned or orphaned by a single parent. Rema Rajeshwari who is the Superintendent of police said, "After being abandoned by a single parent, some are taken in by their relatives and they push them into these kind of jobs as they don't want to get inside financial constraints.

Most children were rescued and were sent back to Odisha, Maharashtra, Gulbarga and Bijapur. Most of the kids could not even speak Telugu or Hindi."
