The protests for reservation by Jat community is intesified and Gurgaon police has imposed section 144 of Indian Penal code for 60 days. This was imposed in order to maintain law and order in the district. Some unlawful activities took place and now to stop all those, Section 144 was imposed.


So during these 60 days, unlawful activities such as blocking of roads, railway tracks and water channels will not be permitted. Also people were banned from carrying any deadly weapon which will disrupt peace.


Deputy Commissioner (DC) Satyaprakash said, "The prohibitory orders... have been issued to thwart possibility of unlawful activities in the district on account of demand of Jat reservation. The restrictions will happen till 19th of April."


Violence elevated in Haryana as protesters were backed by All India Jat Aarakshan Sangharsh Samiti. Now there are protests demanding reservatins in education and jobs under OBC Quota. Curfew and shoot-at-sight orders were also imposed after three people were killed in the protests.
