The last few months saw an ugly fight between the Telugu Desam Party, the Nandamuri family and the Daggubati couple. This was regarding the installation of N T Rama Rao’s statue in parliament. The idea was to gain the credit and mileage out of it. But recently one more proposal came from an unexpected person.
He is former union minister and politician Krishnam Raju. He had reportedly suggested that just like N T R, the statue of Alluri Seetaramaraju should be put in parliament. Alluri was one of those rare freedom fighters who stood as the perfect example for patriotism and leadership who opposed the British.
The amount of energy and time the Telugu politicians take to fight for statue credit or put up YSR or other statues at every nook and corner if they can use it for a noble reason like this, it will show the unity of Telugus. Though it is a farfetched idea it sure is a genuine and worthy proposal.
