In the year 2008, the delimitation of Andhra Pradesh’s Assembly constituencies took place. The then Chief Minister of United AP, YS Rajasekhar Reddy aided by the Congress government at the center ensured that this happened according to the benefit of the Congress party.

Several strongholds and constituencies of TDP were divided and this slowly turned into Congress strongholds. Some of the TDP strong constituencies were totally degenerated and hence 2009 elections became quite tough for TDP. The turn of events after that is known to all.
At that point, Senior Leader of Congress and former Minister Gaade Venkat Reddy was made the in-charge of delimitation then. With his extensive political experience, he targeted TDP strongholds strongly back then. Now, the twist is that Gaade is joining TDP.
With the center expected to increase the number of Assembly seats in both Andhra Pradesh & Telangana State by the 2019 elections, Chandrababu is all set to utilize Gaade’s experience once again for delimitation to benefit the TDP. It’s a perfect role reversal!
