The DMK chief M. Karunanidhi for the first time in over five years and the Congress president Sonia Gandhi, on Thursday has slammed the AIADMK government for failing to help the people during the December floods and supporting the anti-people policies of the Centre in Parliament.
Sonia Gandhi has added that the AIADMK government did not help the people during the floods and it was the people who have helped each other and the same time when the DMK was in power in Tamil Nadu, the State was in news for the innumerable industries the government brought and presently the growth had virtually come to an end.
Sonia has alleged that the factories are shutting down every day and investors have moved to neighboring States and the youth are suffering without job. Ms. Gandhi has also accused the AIADMK government and the BJP led Centre of encouraging anti people policies in the state.
She has told that the BJP government has cut down spending on crucial social welfare schemes, the AIADMK continued to extend its support to the BJP in Parliament and by hailing the promise of prohibition made by the DMK alliance, and she has urged the voters to bring back the party to power.
