American Telangana Association (ATA) is organizing 1st World Telangana Convention in Detroit on July 8th, 9th and 10th, 2016 at Suburban Collection Showplace, Novi Michigan USA. As part of the planning, Chairs/Co-Chairs for of all committees held a meeting on Tue May 10th, 2016. About 75 committees heads met to report out on the progress made so far. Vinod Kukunoor, ATA WTC Convention Convener welcomed the gathering and updated the team about critical milestones ahead and ATA National Committee cascades. Nagender Aytha, Vice-Convener gave a detailed overview of committees and their roles. The team agreed for weekly in person meeting on Sundays from 9:00am till 2:00pm where in all committee Chairs/Co-Chairs will report out on progress and seek help from

American Telangana Association (ATA) is organizing 1st World Telangana Convention @Detroit on any issues/challenges. It is agreed that coordination committee, logistics, AV, web and social media committees will available at weekly cascades from all Committee Chairs/Co-chairs.

Some of the highlights from Committee report outs (ATA}

> Registrations committee reported that team has been working on a smooth registration process for the guests. ATA Convention leadership gave a target of 1000 family registrations by June 15th and committee felt confident to meet the challenge

> Corporate Sponsorship committee reported that most of corporate donors have been contacted already for sponsorships and response has been very encouraging from all corporations/donors.

> The vendor booths committee reported about 26 businesses have already signed up booths and hoped to fill all 200 booth spots for other businesses very shortly.

> The social media committee reported that events / groups have been created and asked team members to share on their FB timelines to encourage new members to the group

> The religious committee reported that they contacted Yadadri and Badrachalam temple management for Utsava Vigrahas / Priests to perform Kalyanams on Sun July 10th morning session.

> Cultural committee reported that there is an effort underway to invite many Telangana artists (Folk/Dance/Music) to the event. Famous Telangana Poet Sri Suddala Ashok Teja already wrote Convention opening ceremony song and lyrics and music have come out great. Also many Telangana cultural items like Bonalu, Pothuraju, Dappulu, Bathukamma artifacts are being shipped from India. Telugu actress Kaajal Agarwal has confirmed to attend the event

> ATA Convention is conducting Ladies Night on June 10th, 2016 at St Toma Hall and inviting actresses Praneetha, Rich Gangopadhyay and Singer/Achor Madhoo. The event is almost a sold out event with only few tickets left.
