Currently the defections fever is leaving no party across the country and the Congress Party’s West Bengal Unit had come up with an innovative idea to avoid Jump Jilanis, the party had faced a shameful defeat in the recently concluded Assembly elections.
The Congress and Left have contested together against Mamatha Banerjee to of no use and now the Congress is trying its level best to save its MLAs from joining Trinamool Congress where the party is taking affidavits from its MLAs stating that they will not change the party at any cost.
The Congress Party West Bengal President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has come up with this idea and the party has already started collecting the oath on a 100 Rupees Stamp Paper. Meanwhile the Congress had managed to win 44 out of the total 294 Assembly seats.
Sources have stated that it has to be seen if these Affidavits are legally valid. If they are, the Congress party will be leading the nation to a new path with this innovative idea and the YSR Congress and TDP (TS) may better watch out keenly.
