If you think that tomorrow if congress high command agrees or disagrees about granting separate Telangana state purely out of respect for someone’s sentiments then you are mistaken. This is purely politics and the game for power. Keeping that in view, the Congress party has reportedly done a mathematical equation.
They are estimating that in the event of Telangana being given they can gain at least 5-7 seats from the newly formed state and from the remaining part they are hoping to get 1-3 out of luck or power of the local congress candidate. If that works then congress might just scrape through with a count of 8-10 MPs in the 2014 elections.
But this calculation is being negated by the political experts. They are stating that by keeping Andhra Pradesh united, there is still a good chance for them to get at least 3-4 MP seats from Telangana because some of the congress leaders are very strong here. And since the state remains united, it will be a good opportunity to fight out for maximum share in rest of AP.
