The Union HRD minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday was addressing a public meeting in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara and he has told that the fight for independence that began in 1857 ended 90 years later when people threw the British out.


Javadekar has also added that he salutes freedom fighters Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel, Pandit (Jawahar Lal Nehru), Bhagat Singh and Rajguru.all those who were hanged during the freedom struggle.


The union minister’s tribute has come during the Tiranga Yatra, when catapulted to mark India’s 70th Independence Day.


It is stated that many BJP leaders and lawmakers, carrying the Tricolor, or the Tiranga, have fanned out across the country in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to spread awareness about India’s freedom struggle and to inculcate a feeling of nationalism.
