New Delhi sources have stated that Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will be writing to the three member committee set up by the LG to look into decisions taken by the Delhi government in the past year and a half, to request them to put their work in abeyance till the Supreme Court takes a final decision on the powers of the LG vis-a-vis the government.

Presently as per the cabinet decision it was stated that over 400 files have been called by the LG office" and that work of the government is suffering since the committee is also summoning officers in connections with its examination of said files and that respective ministers are being kept out of loop.

Sources have said that the committee had no sanction under either the Constitution, or the GNCTD Act or the Transaction of Business Rules or authority to review current government files.

The LG has appointed the committee after the high court gave him supremacy in administrative matters over the government and it has therefore been decided to convey such concerns to the committee and request them to keep their work in abeyance till SC takes a decision, where the final hearing in the matter is on November 15th.
