The Telugu Desam Party is officially the arch rival for the congress party from the time it was established and the battle in Andhra Pradesh was always between them. Today it has become multiple sided with parties like TRS, YSR Congress entering the fray. And so, the focus is now between TDP and YSR Congress.
With YSR Congress increasing in strength TDP has been targeting them but in counter they have got a new name. The YSRCP calls TDP as the dark shadow of congress. According to them, Chandrababu and his team has always been doing secret dealings with congress at the right time to keep themselves safe.
There was an allegation that Chandrababu had secret meetings with Chidambaram during the heat of Telangana movement. Now, TDP is facing allegations that it joined hands with congress during the recent Coop and DCCB polls to ensure YSR Congress doesn’t win. This is a new dimension in AP politics.
