Race to placate the supreme youth leader seems to have taken a high pitch now. The combined call given by a group of congress M.P’s for the ‘entry’ of Rahul, into much bigger assignments has now picked up momentum. The turn of the congress bigwigs has come now, with Digvijay singh and Chidambaram, joining the chorus.  Congress senior leader Digvijay Singh told that, Rahul should better take bigger responsibilities in the party, but should wait for lead role in the government, till of 2014 elections. It looks like that, Chidambaram has chosen to outdo the call of Digvijay and told that the ‘young leader will do "very well" in government as well as the Congress.’  It seems that the congress clan is conveniently forgetting the legacy of its leaders like the Jawaharlal Nehru. The present men at the helm of the affairs in the congress party are immune to the reality, that, what matters are the policies and not the personalities at the top. This is what Nehru has in mind, when answering the question that how could India cope, when he is no more. Those are the times, when many people in India, used to think that, Nehru is indispensable for India’s survival and advancement forward. On this issue, Nehru answered back that the ‘Graveyards are full of indispensable people.’ That is the spirit with which democracy was run during those times.  But, of late policies are taking the backseat and personalities are taking the front end. This is the reason, the congress bigwigs are under the ‘impression’ that, come Rahul, people would rally around them whatever might be the policies they follow. Moreover, surprisingly this blind belief in the Rhaul charm factor continues despite it being punctured by the people of U.P, in the latest assembly elections. Thus it would have been better for the congress party, if it had taken a look at the anti-people policies, that have distanced away the people from it, rather than bringing in a new ‘God’ to resolve its problems. Does not it look like being Just superstitious, on the part of these men who rule the country.
