A special fund would be set up for the welfarement of Jawans who are serving the nation said the Chief Minister Mr. KCR. After a short break Telangana assembly sessions began today.. Speaking in the house today Mr. Rao appealed to the house that one has to feel welfarement of Soldiers  as a social responsibility as the Jawan guards the nation and sacrifices his life and family. He reiterated that the Telangana government should stand as an example in providing best facilities to the soldier to the rest of the country.

Mr.Rao explained to the house that with this special fund the Jawans performing the duties, the kin of the martyrs, severely injured jawan's  who turn physically disabled and ex-servicemen would be benifitted.

For the special fund, the Chief Minister and Minister's  will have to contribute Rs.25000 per year and MLA's will have to donate Rs.1000 and other Government Employees a day salary said the CM. He thanked the law makers and the employees. After serving at the centre and getting retired, the ex-servicemen who serve the Telangana government will be given double pension assured the CM. If the ex service men die his wife will be eligible to get the double pension added KCR.

CM also anounced rewards for the army men who recieves gallantry awards. A huge amount of Rs.2.25 crore would be given to Paramaveera Chakra winners and Rs.1.25 crore to Mahaveer Chakra and Keerthi Chakra awardees. For the seva awardees the amount would be Rs 30 lakhs. Rs. 20 lakhs was announced Youdh Seva awrdees. KCR also assured of setting up of army welfare boards at state and district level.
