Fight for Kapu reservations is getting intense day by day. Former Minister, Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham, is getting ready to intensify protests starting agitation once again. It is known that his agitation demanding reservations for Kapus resulted in unprecedented violence in Tuni with protests burning Ratnachal Express and also burning of five police stations.
In the meantime Mudragada Padmanabham is daring Chandra Babu Naidu and his son Lokesh to take up fast unto death for AP special status. Speaking to scribes he said sometime back Jayalalithaa sat on fast for the people of Tamil Nadu and if Chandra Babu and Lokesh sit of fast for special status, he too will join them if they allow him.
He also said it is wrong to link special status with Polavaram project. He pointed out that Polavaram was declared as national project in AP reorganisation act in 2014 itself and Chandra Babu cannot say that Polavaram would be stalled if special status fight is intensified.
It should be seen how Chandra Babu and Lokesh will react to Mudragada's challenge. Mudragada also said he will face enquiry in Tuni violence.
