Telangana
1.  Centring worker rapes minor girl, held :  Malakpet police arrested a 40-year-old centring worker for raping his nine-year-old neighbour at his house on Wednesday night. The accused, K Devudu alias Raju, is married and has two children. His wife and children were out of station when the incident happened.
2.  1 killed, 3 injured in road mishap :  A 35-year-old canteen worker was killed and three others seriously injured when an RTC bus hit them while they were enjoying a cup of tea on Thursday morning at Dharmaram village of Geesukonda mandal. The deceased was identified as Tallapally Madhu, a resident of Venkatapur village of Sangem mandal.
3. Six government doctors suspended for private practice :  District collector Mutyala Raju Revuon Thursday reportedly placed six government doctors under suspension on charges of working for private hospitals in Nellore during their official duty hours.
4.  Bovine IVF lab to increase Ongole, Punganur count :  Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVU) will soon launch the mission to preserve the rare bovine breeds of Punganur and Ongole in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania and JK Trust. These breeds will be propagated using the in vitro fertilisation (IVF).
5.  Suspended cleric moves high court :  The Telangana State Wakf Board is being cautious with the case of preacher Aijazuddin Mohiuddin Waseem who was `temporarily suspended' from the post of president of an important masjid in Humayun Nagar.
6. Excavations at Naya Quila: Persian legacy tumbles out : Excavations at the Naya Quila heritage precinct have unearthed two fountains from the Qutb Shahi period as well as terracotta pipes and a hammam.
7.  Pune cops put spanner in Owaisi's Maha poll battle :  MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi is facing hurdles in campaigning for Pune municipal elections scheduled for February 21.Though people are eager to listen to the articulate Hyderabad MP, Maharashtra police are making it tough for him to hold rallies.
8.  6,000 priests to hold special pujas on K Chandrasekhar Rao's birthday :  The state is all set to celebrate the 64th birthday of chief minister K day of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in style on Friday. In an unprecedented manner, more than 6,000 archakas working in 11,200 temples across the state are to mark the day by conducting special pujas and homams. 
9.  IT hub reboots to tighten security for techies, guards given training :  IT firms in Cyberabad may be well fortified on cyber security, but when it comes to security on the ground, the everbuzzing cash-rich IT hub needs to upgrade itself. It has been observed since mid-2015 that criminals have changed a lot tactically . 
10.  Missive to Manohar Parrikar on Cantt roads :  After huge success of a candle-light rally , residents in Secunderabad have raised demands to persuade the Local Military Authority to reopen closed roads inside the cantonment.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  APSWC announces dividend :  The AP State Warehousing Corporation (APSWC) has decided to give an interim dividend of Rs. 6 crore during the current fiscal. Chairman L.V.S.R.K. Prasad said the Board of Directors meeting held recently discussed the proposal. A dividend of Rs. 3 crore will be given to State government and Rs. 3 crore to the Central Warehousing Corporation, he said.
2.  Case against bank gold appraiser :  The Machilipatnam police on Thursday registered a case against Vijaya Bank gold appraiser S.V. Santosh Kumar, who reportedly replaced gold deposited in the bank with imitation jewellery. The police swung into action based on a complaint lodged by branch manager M.V.D.N.L. Rajeswari on Thursday.
3.  AP Bhavan impasse: Centre likely to intervene :  The Centre is likely to step in to resolve the dispute over ownership of the Andhra Pradesh Bhavan complex in New Delhi in the face of the unyielding claims and counter claims by the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments.
4.  Telugu language issue: YLP puts Naidu on notice :  Former Rajya Sabha member Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad here on Thursday said he would launch an agitation if Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu failed to fulfil all the promises that he made before elections to promote Telugu language, here on Thursday.
5.  Narayana blames Centre for T.N. crisis :  CPI national secretary K. Narayana has blamed the BJP-led government at the Centre for the political crisis in Tamil Nadu.
6.  Vizag to host global start-up summit :  The next wave of digital disruption in fintech (financial technology) will take place at FinTech Valley-Vizag with the decision of the State government to play host to global fintech start-up summit on October 9 and 10. 
7.  CET for PG courses unlikely in Telangana :  Common entrance test for entry into Post Graduate courses of all the universities in Telangana appears to have been shelved with the universities reluctant to give up the authority fearing loss of revenue.
8.  CM visits mobile command control post:  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday inspected the Filed Alert Centre for Operational Networking (Falcon) mobile command control post at Kuppam, the first of its kind in the State, developed by the Chittoor police.
9.  Krishna district a trailblazer in e-payments :  District Collector Babu A. on Thursday said Krishna district took the lead in facilitating digital payments well before the demonetisation of Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 notes and the manner in which the latest technologies were adopted was worth emulating. Speaking at a regional workshop on ‘Electronic Payments and Receipts (EPR) in Government’ jointly organised by the National Institute of Smart Governance and National Payments Corporation of India here, Mr. Babu said in addition to paying and receiving through electronic means, the district administration was able to ensure transparency in financial management.
10.  RTA lends a helping hand to auto driver :  Here’s an opportunity for autorickshaw drivers who could not obtain licence due to non-availability of eighth class pass certificate. The Transport Department has decided to accept a self-declaration and issue the licence, provided he/she meets other norms.
