Owaisi brothers are known to be strong force in Old City, Hyderabad. They with their party MIM hold iron like grip in the city and by remaining close to which ever party that rules the state,they enjoys tremendous power without any responsibility.
Of late Owaisi has been trying to expand and strengthen the party across the country. MIM contested in Bihar, Maharashtra elections and made its presence felt. However other so parties like Congress and the regional parties like SP,BSP,NCP,RJD and JDU accused Owaisi of splitting the secular vote to help the BJP.
MIM contested Uttar Pradesh elections too and Owaisi campaigned vigorously in the state. However the party failed miserably and it is comingout that right after Yogi Adityanath took over as CM of the state, Many workers of MIM quit the party.
Though this came as a shock to Owaisi, MIM sources rubbish the news. They claimed none of the party workers quit the party in Uttar Pradesh. This is in sharp contrast to a whatsapp video which is going viral.
In the video, people claiming MIM workers and leaders accused Owaisi of indulging in anti-national agenda during his election campaign and misguiding them. They accused Owaisi of trying to divide muslims and hindus not only in Uttar Pradesh but also across the country.
