The Agrigold issue has rocked the Andhra Pradesh assembly. The issue was raised by the opposition leader. YCP President Mr. JaganMohan Reddy had asked the speaker to allow him to speak for 20 minutes and he would prove the allegations that were made on the Minister Prathipati Pullarao, If the speaker had not given the mike, Mr. Reddy said that he would hand over the documents to the press outside the assembly.
On the Other
hand the party in power said that Government has ordered a judiciary enquiry
into the issue and also challenged whether
the opposition leader would resign if he fails to prove the allegations made on
Prathipati Pullarao. If the Minister was
found guilty he accepted to give his resignation, added the Finance Minister
Mr. Yanamala RamaKrishna.
“It was we who demanded a judicial probe on the lands purchased by the minister and we are asking the speaker to give us some time to prove the allegations. If you give me some time I will produce all the evidences before the house” said the leader of the opposition Mr. Jagan Reddy adding that the speaker has denied him to give the mike.
The YCP President was in turn attacked by Yanamala in a reply. He said the the documents that Jagan carried were bogus and that he can never prove the allegations . He fired at Jagan for having wasted two days of valuable time speaking on the same issue when there are important matters to be discussed. The unsatisfied YCP walked out in protest of the Ministers reply.
