Those in higher posts should behave in a responsible manner. However power brings arrogance and they care a hoot for the sentiments of the others. Now Jayashankar Bhupalapally district collector A Murali made a shocking comments insulting Brahmins.
Murali addressing a gathering at Akkannagudem village passed derogatory remarks on brahmins. On world TB Day at Yeturu Nagaram, he said "Earlier we ate pork, beef. Now due to some Brahminical forces we are practising ‘Malas’ (a religious vow) and stopped eating beef and pork. That is affecting our immune system and leading to diseases such as tuberculosis,"
He continued "Some old people are complaining that they are not allowed to eat beef due to restrictions. It is ridiculous. You eat whatever you want to eat," The video went viral leading to huge controversy.
Though the collector later apologised for his controversial remarks, tempers are running high. Chief Secretary SP Singh reprimanded Collector for his statements. Brahmin groups already complained against the collector with the police and police said they will take action after examining the video.
