Many are wondering who is helping Sasikala in jail. When Supreme Court after decades of investigation finally convicted Sasikala in disproportionate assets case and sent her packing to jail,all like minded people celebrated.
Many felt Sasikala will spend rest of her life in jail without any luxuries and VIP treatement. However much to the shock of all it is coming out that Bengaluru jail rules were flouted to help Sasikala to meet visitors for more than the stipulated time.
Generally common convicts can meet his or her relatives once in 15 days. However Sasikala got VVIP treatment as she met 19 people in a month according to an RTI query.
While no visitor is allowed after 5 PM may stayed even after 6 PM at Bengaluru's Parappana Agrahara jail.Supreme Court rejected Sasikala demands for preferential treatment and jail authorities refused her permission for mattresses, a table fan, attached bathroom and special meals.
But many AIADMK leaders - including Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker Thambidurai and her nephew TTV Dinakaran, also met Sasikala before the AIADMK approached the Election Commission seeking rights to the Two Leaves symbol.
