Nandyal and Allagadda were the two constituencies which were totally dominated by the Bhuma family – Bhuma Nagi Reddy and his wife Shobha Nagi Reddy. As long as they were , nobody would dare make any entry into these two constituencies.However, after the death of the couple one after the other in the last three years, the rival groups within the Telugu Desam Party and also the YSR Congress party have started attempts to grab control over the two constituencies.
The Shilpa family – Chakrapani Reddy from TDP and his brother Mohan Reddy were putting efforts to capture Nandyal and Allagadda, the Gangula family from the YSR Congress party has started attempts to regain their lost hold.
They thought they would take advantage of the fresher Allagadda MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya, who is still new to politics.
