1.  Narendra Modi’s ‘chai station’ to get Rs 8 crore facelift :   Vadnagar railway station, almost 95 km from Ahmedabad, will soon get a Rs 8 crore facelift. This was recently announced by Union minister of state for railways Manoj Sinha.
2.  J&K on the boil: Mehbooba to meet PM today to resolve alliance crisis :  Jammu & Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti has rushed to New Delhi on Saturday to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resolve the contentious issues that have cropped up among the coalition partners PDP and BJP over the deteriorating law and order situation in the Valley.
3.  India condemns Taliban attack on Afghan military base :  Days after the US used its most lethal weapon to target the Islamic State (Daesh) near the Afghan-Pakistan border, the Taliban stamped their presence as the biggest security threat to Afghanistan and the region with a strike on a military base that left 140 soldiers dead.

This one, too, was broadcast.
8.  No one questions Muslims due to vote-bank politics: Tripura governor :  Muslim religious traditions such as burqa (veil), polygamy and triple talaq are not questioned because of vote-bank politics, Tripura governor Tathagata Roy has said. 
9.  SpiceJet plays national anthem with passengers strapped to seats :  The flight is about to land; all passengers are strapped in; and the national anthem starts playing on the plane's PA system.
Do the passengers stand up to show respect, or remain strapped in as per flight rules? This unlikeliest of dilemmas did play out — on a SpiceJet flight from Tirupati to Hyderabad on April 18, prompting a passenger to file a complaint with the airline.
10.  Delhi goes to vote :  The MCD elections promise to be hotly-contested, with the BJP, AAP and Congress engaging in a triangular fight. The whole country is looking to Delhi as the BJP seeks to cash in on PM Modi's popularity and promise of good governance, while the AAP hopes to holds onto its home turf.
