Right after the tragic demise of former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa, power struggle between various factions intensified to fill in the void left in the state politics. Factions increased in AIADMK with Sasikala and Pannerselvam trying to out manoeuvre each other.
In between opposition DMK is leaving no stone unturned to take advantage of the faction war. With Sasikala sent to jail by the Supreme court, AIADMK factions are trying to merge as people's anger is growing against Sasikala.
In the meantime rumours are spreading that BJP is trying its best to show its power in Tamil Nadu politics. Though the party is denying any hand in the developments in Tamil Nadu, analysts suspect that BJP is enacting the script for Pannerselvam.
Inside talk is BJP is gunning for Pannerselvam, the most trusted lieutenant of Jayalalithaa. Buzz is the party is trying its best to power Pannerselvam to CM post. Sources say BJP is confident that many MLAs will support Pannerselvam. It is keen to win 15 seats of the total 39 seats of Tamil Nadu in the upcoming Loksabha polls in 2019.
