Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and the ruling AAP got a huge shock when BJP swept the municipal polls in the national capital. All the dreams of Arvind Kejriwal of taming Modi lion in the capital cage got shattered.
It is known that Arvind Kejriwal launched a vicious hate campaign against PM Modi and BJP led Union Government,accusing them of trying to eliminate him as they fear defeat. Kejriwal even increased the tempo suspecting EVM tampering ahead of the Delhi polls and after saffron wave in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
However for all his antics, BJP which is ruling Delhi municipality, overcame anti incumbency and is sweeping Delhi polls. BJP is now headed for a 2/3 majority. Ruling AAP and Congress are neck and neck for the second place.
Kejriwal however blamed the EVMs for the loss. He even threatened to launch protests against the EVMs. BJP is currently leading in 181 out of 270 seats while Congress and AAP are leading in 40 and 37 seats respectively.
