10.  Constable booked for raping housewife in Mailardevpally :   A constable of the Mailardevpally police station was booked for allegedly raping a housewife. Mailardevpally police on Wednesday said, based on a complaint lodged by the victim's husband, a case was registered under sections 376 (rape) and 506 (intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against constable G Paul.

1.  Excise CI trapped :  Anti-Corruption Bureau officials arrested Excise and Prohibition circle inspector of Yemmiganur K. Lakshmidurgaiah when he allegedly accepted a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from a liquor shop owner on Wednesday.
2.  Misinformation campaign, says Narayana :  Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana on Wednesday took strong objection to what he described as misinformation campaign by the YSR Congress leaders on the issue of water leak into the chamber of Opposition Leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy in the State Legislative Assembly in Amaravati.

4.  Former president of Siddhartha Academy dies :  Former president and one of the first joint secretaries of Siddhartha Academy of General & Technical Education Dr. B. Rama Rao passed away here on Wednesday. He was 86.
5.  Police want Ayesha Meera case to be probed again :  Though the High Court recently acquitted Pidatala Satyam Babu in the suspected rape and murder of Ayesha Meera, police have called for a reinvestigation to find out the real culprit.
6.  CM to lay stone for coffer dam today :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation for the coffer dam of the Polavaram project on Thursday.
