Kolkata sources have stated that earlier arrested former Calcutta High Court judge CS Karnan was rushed to hospital on Wednesday after he complained of chest pain and was returned to Presidency correctional home (jail) when doctors found nothing serious.
A team of West Bengal Police team has arrested Karnan and he said that he complained about chest pain. So he was taken to SSKM hospital from Presidency correctional and he underwent many rounds of ECG test and the doctors said that nothing is alarming about his health and that he is okay.
The officer said nothing unusual was found in his
body and so he was sent back to correctional home. It was stated that Karnan
had been evading arrest since the May 9th Supreme Court order
awaiting him for a six month jail period for contempt of court.
Sources have added that Karnan had earned distinction for being the first person sitting as the high court judge is awarded a jail term by the apex court. He had retired from his service from June 12th.
