1.  Ex-inmates give clean chit to orphanage secretary held for ‘rape’ :  Former inmates of the 'Save a Child' orphanage on Thursday urged the police to conduct a 'fair, unbiased and speedy investigation' into allegations against the orphanage secretary M Sunith Kumar who was arrested in an alleged rape case.
2.  Bidder who bought Rs 22crore land wants to back out :  The successful bidder who bought the 83 acre land in Chennai belonging to AP Endowment wing's Sadavarthy chowltry for `22 crore on Thursday informed the Hyderabad High Court that he wants to recede from the auction and that he will walk out if the money is refunded to him.
3.  High court suspends GO issued by government to take back land for court staff :  The judge passed this interim order while dealing with a petition filed by the High Court Employees Cooperative Housing Societychallenging the GO No 102, issued by the government on June 15, 2017. Through this GO, the state was intending to take back the land. The judge suspended the GO.
4.  Final verdict in Owaisi attack case on June 29 :  A trial court has fixed June 29 as the day for final verdict in Majlis-E-Ithehadul-Muslimee ( MIM) legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi attack case.
5.  Women rescued from prostitution flee from home :  Twelve women who were earlier rescued from prostitution racket, escaped fromUjjwala, a rescue home at Uppal, after attacking the securitymen on Thursday.
6.  T parking policy on the anvil: KTR :   In an attempt to find a solution to parking woes in cities and towns, the Telangana government will soon come up with a parking policy, municipal administration minister KT Rama Rao said on Thursday
7.  GHMC takes measures to battle mosquito menace :  The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to release Gambusia fish into water bodies to control vector-borne diseases this monsoon.
8.  ABVP demands removal of TSPSC chairman :  Student leaders of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) met governor ESL Narasimhan on Thursday to discuss the problems faced by students in the Telangana State Public Service Commission exams. Students demanded the removal of TSPSC chairman.
9.  Government to launch thrift scheme for weavers :   Telangana government will soon launch a thrift scheme for welfare of weavers in the state. Industries and municipal minister KT Rama Rao on Thursday announced the new scheme.


Andhra Pradesh
1.  Vijayawada, Tirupati airports get global tag :  The Centre has issued two gazette notifications declaring Vijayawada and Tirupati airports as international airports. The Union Cabinet gave its nod to international status for Vijayawada airport in May.
2.  Rayapati lashes out at former CS :  TDP MP from Narsaraopet Rayapati Sambasiva Rao on Wednesday alleged that former Chief Secretary and former chairman of the A.P. Brahmin Welfare Corporation I.Y.R. Krishna Rao preferred Donakonda in Prakasam district as the State capital and had even written a letter to the Home Minister endorsing his stand.
3.  Leave Nandyal seat to us, YSRC tells TDP :  Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu should leave the Nandyal Assembly seat to the YSR Congress in the ensuing by-election as people had elected Bhuma Nagi Reddy, whose demise necessitated the election, on the YSR Congress ticket, Anantha Venkatarami Reddy, former MP and party leader, asserted on Thursday.
4.   ‘AP needs Naidu at helm now’ : 
 Contending that YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was day-dreaming to come to power in the State in 2019, Women and Child Welfare Minister Paritala Sunitha on Thursday maintained that the State needed the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu more now than ever before to put it on the path of progress.
5.  CM lays stone for ceramic cluster near Srikalahasti :  Setting the ball rolling for the first-of-its-kind hub to nurture ceramic tile manufacturing units, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for a ceramic cluster at Thatiparthi in Thottambedu mandal of Chittoor district on Thursday.
6.  'Focus on tribal ryots in North Andhra’ :  Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy on Thursday said educating tribal people on the latest farming techniques would be one of the Telugu Desam government’s main priorities linked to reviving the agriculture sector across the State.  Mr. Reddy said as the northern part of the State had recorded less agricultural production, an awareness programme would be organised in the tribal areas.
7.  Fake TDR bonds’ racket busted :  The city police have busted a racket in sale of fake TDR (Transfer of Development Rights) bonds and arrested six persons, including Vijayawada Municipal Corporation attender P. Samuel Rajasekhar, 45, the kingpin.
8.  ‘SIT will expose Jagan’s lies’ :  Deputy CM K.E. Krishna Murthy on Thursday said YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy intended to derive political mileage out of the land scandal. In a release, he said “those who are A-1 and A-2 in 11 CBI cases” had no right to cast aspersions on the government. He asserted that the lies being spread would be exposed once the SIT submits its report.
9.  Why land pooling in assigned land, asks Jagan :  “Is it necessary to take up land-pooling where poor farmers had the assignment land?” he asked the government.
