According to sources gang rape survivor was attacked with acid for the fourth time, and the incident had reportedly occurred at her home in Lucknow. It was stated that the attack took place sometime between 8 pm and 9 pm when she stepped out of her hostel to fill water from a hand pump.
Meanwhile she was rushed to a hospital where her condition was stated to be stable. She has sustained burn injuries on her face and neck, police said, adding that no FIR has been registered yet and they are awaiting a complaint that a probe is on in the matter.
Further it was stated that Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi
Adityanath had met the survivor in March after she was reportedly
forced to drink acid by two men on a train near Lucknow. Adityanath directed
the police to arrest the accused and gave the survivor Rs 1 lakh and stated that
the survivor works at Sheroes Hangout Cafe in Lucknow, which is run by
acid attack survivors.
