India is all set to welcome it's 14th President as the counting of ballots started. As per reports, the ruling party candidate Ram Nath Kovind is leading the race and the polls are in favour of BJP. The final results will be known around 5:00pm.
Right now the ballot box of Parliament House was opened and later on the ballot boxes received from the states would be opened and they will be counted on Alphabetical order. By the end, India will have its second Dalit President after KR Narayanan.
However, Meira Kumari said this election is not about caste and it is a battle of ideologies alone. As per reports, 99% of voting has been recorded for choosing India's next President.
