Sources have stated that TDP leaders P Rama Subba Reddy and NMD Farooq have been sworn in as MLCs in the Governor's quota yesterday. Sources have stated that they were sworn in the legislative council by its deputy speaker Reddy Subramanyam. Several ministers and TDP leaders, including Kala Venkata Rao, were present.
According to sources both Rama Subba Reddy and Farooq have been sulking over the ruling TDP ignoring them. Farooq had even kept away from the Nandyal bypoll campaign. Chandrababu placated him and offered him the MLC seat.
Similarly, Rama Subba Reddy was upset that his arch rival Adinarayana Reddy, who defected from the YSRCP into the TDP, was rewarded by a ministerial position. Amid reports that he was planning to join YSRCP, Chandrababu Naidu swiftly moved into bring him round and make him an MLC.
