Nandyal sources have stated that as 2.19 lakh voters of Nandyal Assembly constituency in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh exercise their franchise in the by-election today, they are virtually setting the trend for the general elections due in May 2019. TDP had also making huge campaigning for the bypolls.
As per latest report from Goa it was stated that Goa"s former Defence Minister and Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is contesting from the Panaji assembly seat against Congress' Girish Chodankar and Anand Shirodkar of the Goa Suraksha Manch. Currently in the Valpoi bypolls , Health Minister Vishwajit Rane takes on Roy Naik, son of Congress MLA Ravi Naik.
Delhi sources have made a statement that AAP MLA Ved Prakash quit the party and resigned from the Delhi Assembly membership to join the BJP in March ahead of the municipal corporation election. Sources have added that around 2.94 lakh voters of Bawana will cast their votes on Wednesday at 379 polling booths to elect a new face to represent them in the Delhi Assembly. Furthermore By-elections to fill four vacant legislative assembly seats of Nandyal in Andhra Pradesh, Valpoi and Panaji in Goa and Bawana in Delhi are currently underway and the counting of votes will be held on August 28.
