Sources have stated that the controversy surrounding special treatment for VK Sasikala in Parappana Agrahara Prision has been intensified after a CCTV video footage revealed that the former AIADMK legislature party leader, along with her relative Ilavarasi, was walking out of the jail.
Currently the former DIG (Prisons) Roopa who was suspended has disclosed those details to the IAS-member (Vinay Kumar) committee set up by Karnataka state government. As per latest details, Roopa in her report to Vinay Kumar said that Sasikala walked out jail and visited Hosur MLA Balakrishna Reddy's residence near to the jail and was caught on CCTV camera. In the video footage, she was escorted by a lady superintendent of that jail.
Earlier Roopa alleged that prison authorities have misinformed Home Minister by providing fabricated information about the supposed special treatment to VK Sasikala. Moreover on other hand, the two groups of AIADMK led by E Palaniswamy and O Pannerselvam were merged in Tamil Nadu government and sought back the 'two leaves' symbol from Central Election Commission. And later, a camp of 18 MLAs' led by TTV Dinakaran wrote a letter to state governor Vidyasagar Rao telling that have no confidence in CM Palaniswamy and withdrawing support to him.
