Ongole sources have made a statement that an auto driver was arrested on Saturday for killing his lover at Vetapalem in Prakasam. Meanwhile according to the police, the victim, Shavanam Teja had completed her M.Tech and was working in TVS showroom in Chirala. The girl was in love with an auto driver Gopichand, who hails from Rama Nagar at Vetapalem.
According to sources the duo were the classmates in school and was in love from two years. Earlier on Saturday, Gopichand took Teja to his uncle's house which was locked from outside. He then broke the back side door and the two entered the house.
Meanwhile after sometime, Gopi slit Teja's throat
and ran away from the place. He then informed the matter to his friends who
called up the police. Based on the information given by the Gopi's friends, the
police took him into custody. Furthermore DSP Prem Kajal, CI Bhaktavastala
Reddy visited the spot and an investigation is on. The girl's body was sent for
post-mortem.
