According to sources from Hyderabad a 37 year old homeopathy doctor was arrested on Sunday on charges of cheating after she filed a fake dowry case against her third husband. The woman identified as Chivakula Saritha, a resident of Tarnaka, produced in court and remanded for judicial custody.
Earlier Saritha too filed similar cases against her two husbands and extorted money before divorcing them. The woman followed the same course for the third time and the current husband Prakash Rao was arrested on July 31. Meanwhile he later obtained bail and verified her background and was shocked to know that she was married twice before and did the same thing to her former partners and extorted money. Saritha married in 2005 and again in 2011.
Furthermore LB Nagar DCP M. Venkateswar Rao said,
“The woman compromised in first marriage after taking Rs6 lakh, 20 tolas of
gold and extorted Rs9 lakh from her second husband." Accordingly Rachakonda
Police, Commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said, "This is the first such case of
fake dowry case under the jurisdiction and it gets difficult to nab the culprit
failing to get evidence.”
