Sources have reported that senior Telugu Desham Party leader & Andhra Pradesh state Women Corporation Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari has demanded to set up a board to censor the TV serials before they on air, in view of growing evil content on television daily. Meanwhile in a media-talk after meeting AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to serve a complaint in this regard, Rajakumari asked government to quickly implement all essential steps to avoid the violence in Telugu daily serials.
She added that 'Previously she wrote a letter to centre in this regard but failed to get a response from them. As makers of some serials are going beyond a point to show case the objectionable content, we have demanding a board to confine them'.
Moreover she further alleged that these serials are spreading non-violence
and evil content on television which is indirectly impacting the common
families in state. Earlier we have seen a similar demand against Hindi
television serials for projecting women in grey shades and in an objectionable
manner.
