Earthquake details - epicentre about 4 km E of Ukhimath and Guptkashi in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Magnitude about 5 on the Richter scale, depth - CONSIDERABLY DEEP at 30 km. The deeper the quake, usually less the damage. #Earthquake

Location 30.52 N & 79.13 E. Epicenter near India-China border in Uttarakhand. Strong tremors in some areas
It should be noted that Uttarakhand already falls under High Seismic Zone. Also, as per reports, there was no immediate loss of life or property. However, People have come down to the streets and there was chaos among the people. Stay tuned for more updates.
