They wanted that politicians should not use the Ganesh pandal and festival as a political platform and allow focus only on Lord Ganesh rather than putting up flexis with their life size portraints bigger than idol of god .They pleaded that power conenctions for Ganesh pandals should be free and excemption fo fees for installing Ganesh panels on the street cornoers. 'When government spent Rs. 1.50 crore for Ramazan why can not they exempt all power and other fees for Ganesh festival celebrated by more than 70 percent of the city population' says Bhagavantha Rao, convenor of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh festival committee . He says the power cost would hardly be Rs.25 to 50 lakhs.
He also pooh poohed the pollution charge of Ganesh immersion in Husseinsagar and said AP Pollutioon control board and other lab reports said that Ganesh statue would impact on the lake would lapse within 15 days without any permanant damage . ' It is only a phobia and anti-Hindu campaign�� spread that Ganesh immersion cause pollution of Husseinsagar and city environemnts ' he says.
