An israel based organization named as NSO group has reportedly delivered a spyware bug that is powerful enough to acquire all the personal data of users owning apple and Android phones. The spyware only requires a Whatsapp call to be made and irrespective of the owner of the mobile attending the call or missing it, the spyware begins to work and takes over all the data of the user through the mobile.
Earlier the same company NSO had been involved in accusations of delivering spyware to follow journalists and social activists. Whatsapp has said that users must update to the latest version of the app and must also update their mobile operating system.
And so, they are protected from attacks and protect their personal information. An official statement said that Whatsapp has already fixed the bug. But to be on the safer side, it's better to update and fix the bug.
