Has the Congress high command usurped the powers and privileges of the institution of Speakers of both Lok Sabha and AP Assembly?
The YSRC president YS Jagan has often raised the issue but the Speakers of both houses had remained non-committal and evasive .The speakers of both the houses are keeping resignations of MLAs who had resigned for Seemandhra pending while the resignations of those for Telangana were accepted in haste in the past.Speaker accepted the resignation of 18 Telangana MLAs in a haste to hold bye polls in 2012 , they alleged.��
The 18 MLAs and 2 MPs of YSRC party had submitted resignations in support of their demand for Seemandhra almost two months ago but none of them were accepted .But only the resignation of TDP member Harikrishna was accepted within hours of submission.
