The Congress has no charismatic leader after the unfortunate demise of YSR and even his son Jagan left the party and launched a powerful rival party. Except for being a CM, Kiran was thought to be a novice and the person who could be just the nominal head.
If AP bifurcation happens as planned, that’s fine but in case bifurcation cannot happen and the state remains United, then forget the loss in Telangana, Congress may have finally found one big leader and it is none other than CM Kiran.
Well Kiran has definitely evolved from being a novice but now he has more or less become a trump card for Congress party atleast in Seemandhra region and has almost hindered the forward march of Jagan and stole the limelight as United AP champion away from him.
If polls are held, then Congress can use Kiran Kumar Reddy’s fame to gain power again and proudly say that this Congressman ensured AP wasn’t broken into pieces. If that be the case then congress may try to delay the Telangana process till 2014 elections take place and take a chance.
