With in a few hours from the declaration of AP CM, that Telangana resolution can not be made in the State Assembly, UPA chair person and Congress Party president Sonia Gandhi convened a high level party meeting at Delhi with Azad, Vaailar Ravi, Patel and Chidambaram.
There are so many reasons behind this meeting. Fear of violence at large scale in the scheduled Telangana march on 30th of this month headed by Telangana Political JAC, prolonged stay of KCR at Delhi and beyond these issues the certainty that Congress party will lost 2014 elections in these circumstances.
According to sources the meeting came to conclusion for the declaration of separate state hood to Telangana after discussing several alternatives viz a separate council for Telangana region as in the case of Gorkha land and replacing Chief Minister from a Telangana person.
There will be a meeting for UPA members on this issue after Vaailar Ravi’s return from China tour on this issue.
