Supreme Court finally agreed to scan Congress led UPA Government's decision to divide Andhra Pradesh state and form Telangana. Agreeing to scrutinize the Union Government's decision, Supreme Court sent notices to Centre.  Justice HL.Dattu, who is heading the bench issued notice to the Union Government, after hearing the petitions filed by various people including former CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP and YSRCP leaders.  The court favoured interference of a Constitution bench for hearing the issue and said the larger bench can consider whether stay can be granted on bifurcation of the State.  Petitioners in their petition alleged Andhra Pradesh bifurcation is illegal and unconstitutional. The contented how Union Government pass a bill which was defeated in Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
